sarah-sourpatch: I like what this movement is about, that we shouldn't be ashamed of something that has happened naturally since the dawn of time. What I don't agree with about this movement? That I work housekeeping in a gym and I have to clean up after women who leave soiled pads sticking to bathroom stalls, old tampons tied to shower heads or stuffed between shower partitions,etc. I agree we should be more open, but don't you think that's too unsanitary or a bit much, esp when I have to clean it all up? -


I totally get where you’re coming from. I worked as a cleaner for a few years and it can be really unpleasant at the best of times.

I certainly don’t advocate leaving soiled menstrual products just lying around. Not only because it can be unpleasant for those who have to clean it up, but blood can trigger some people.
